  Attendance and Punctuality Policy

>>> Full-time students are required to attend 15 hours of daytime lectures per week. In case of illness family emergency or other serious situations, students must notify the administration as early as possible.

>>> If students fail to attend for three consecutive days without a valid reason, the first warning letter will be served.

>>> If the student ignores the first warning letter, a second warning letter followed by third warning letter will be served.

>>> If the student fails to contact Albert College immediately after the third warning letter has been served, Albert College will then report the student to the UK Border Agency for non compliance as soon as a student is absent for 10 contact days.

>>> Fingerprint readers - connected to the College's central database - are installed in every classroom and the students must register their presence prior to the start of each lecture. For the use of biometric terminals please refer to the 'Biometric Policy' document.

Also each course module has an attendance and participation element of assessment contained within the module outline. Students must satisfy the awarding body equirements on the self study hours.

>>> The College reserves the right to bar students from examinations and withdraw them from their course if the student's attendance record shows that they have attended fewer than 85% of their scheduled lectures. The College reserves the right to suspend or expel such students, without any liability whatsoever to the College
